Guest and Vendor Access
The goal of our Gatehouse staff is to efficiently process authorized visitors through the gates, with as little delay as possible. This quick reference will help ensure your guest and vendor arrival experience is as smooth as possible.
Gatehouse Hours
- Main Gate is open and staffed 24 hours a day. For concerns & issues please call 239-693-1321. If no answer, call the Patrol Vehicle at 239-544-2595. Do not call for authorizing visitors and vendors.
- Tropic Gate is open via kiosk 24 hours a day by Envera's Virtual Gate Guard.
1. Authorizing Your Visitors and Vendors
You can manage and pre-authorize temporary access to Verandah for your visitors and vendors in the following ways:
- MyEnvera - Using MyEnvera app or website, you can manage your visitor history and make account updates. www.myenvera.com.
- You can also call Envera at 877-936-8372 between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 7 days a week, to add visitors to your guest list.
2. Are you having an event?
If you are having an event with more than ten guests, please do the following:
- On your Visitor List, create a Temporary visitor with 'Admit All' as the Last Name and the type of party as the First Name. For example, 'Admit All, Birthday Party. Don't forget to schedule the date and timeframe of your event using the Schedule button.
3. Using a food delivery service?
We recommend authorizing food delivery services as 'One Time' entries in the MyEnvera app or web portal. Please keep in mind that you are authorizing anyone that you place on your permanent guest list to enter the community 24/7 on your behalf.
4. What happens when a guest or vendor is not authorized in advance?
At the Tropic Gate, Envera will call up to two numbers to verify the visitor.
At the Main Gate, unauthorized visitors will be directed to pull around to the front of the gatehouse.
- The visitor will be advised to call the resident to gain access.
- Resident will then need to call 877-936-8372 to authorize visitor. Or you can add this visitor by logging into your MyEnvera App.
If the gate officer is available (that is, no other cars are waiting to be processed through the gate), they will attempt to assist the unauthorized visitor to get in contact with you.
5. Has your phone number or email address changed?
You will need to update Envera by accessing the Account tab in MyEnvera app or web portal, or by calling 877-936-8372.
If your phone number or email address has changed, please contact Envera 877-936-8372 or let us know by sending an email with your updated information to Office@VCALife.com.
6. Driver’s License Scanning for Guests/Contractors
All visitors entering the gate will be required to show their valid driver’s license. The driver’s license optical scanner will scan and store their driver’s license information for entry into Verandah.
7. Holiday Schedule No Vendor/Contractor Work
Vendors/Contractors will not be allowed in the community for work on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If a holiday falls on a weekend and the scheduled holiday for employees is the Friday before or the Monday after, vendors will be allowed to work on that Friday or Monday.
